In 2022 Sisters and Friends was purchased by Karen Harris, who also started With Love, From Kentucky in downtown Paducah in 2022. Sisters and Friends was first created and nurtured by Norma Anselm for twelve years. The store started as a blend of antiques imported from England and France, custom built farmhouse pieces, and custom created Bramble pieces, and evolved to include lots custom-painted furniture and custom painting services, provided by Tonya, Lexi and Cody. The furnishings and home décor is displayed as it would be seen in your home, by our lead designer Shawna. Shawna is also a creator, making custom framed wall art and other items as well. Philomena, Marsha, and Tonya greet customers and provide excellent customer service while each keeping the business running, too.
Karen has brought in Kentucky-themed goods from her Paducah shop which enhance the offerings of kitchen goods, dining and party wares, bourbon accessories, décor and furnishings made from actual bourbon barrels, and hand-made art and décor from Kentucky artisans. Other lines that With Love, From Kentucky has brought to the Sisters and Friends location include Kentucky-made jams, preserves and pickled items, spice mixes, barbecue sauces, chocolates, candies, and of course, bourbon balls. With gentle goat milk soaps, lotions and bath salts in scents like Bourbon, Bluegrass, and Kentucky Rain, you can pick up a few items to pamper yourself or to give as gifts. Gifts for women include jewelry, scarves, hand creams, and an apparel collection. A selection of books by Kentucky authors and Kentucky-shaped wall hangings round out the local creations. Located on busy U.S. Highway 60, with hundreds of vehicles passing through on their way to Paducah or Missouri each day, this new chapter of With Love, From Kentucky At Sisters and Friends strives to have “something for everyone,” even if you’re not needing new furniture today! Among all the gifts, foods and décor, you are sure to find “a few nice things.”
Our goal at Sisters and Friends is not only to provide a fun and memorable shopping experience, but to also have our customers see all the “endless possibilities” of furniture, and décor in their home. It is a pleasure to help our customers with their projects and decorating needs. Our store is set up with 30 plus venues in the first showroom and we have a big, open display room showcasing grand pieces such as hutches, islands, tables, buffets, servers, entertainment centers as well as bedroom furniture. “The Pickin’ Place” room is always full of good bones pieces ready to go as is or be custom painted by us or by you.
We are proud to be the first store ever to offer a “Container Layaway” program for the Bramble Company line of furniture. Bramble furniture is all solid mahogany and it is offered with over 200 finishes from which to choose. “Container Layaway” allows our customers to “layaway” their own piece in our container and take advantage of our volume discount, the best shipping rate and purchase their piece “before” it incurs the cost of a brick and mortar store.
